Lithuania‘s poultry farms will export products to Hong Kong directly

In the beginning of September, Lithuania’s poultry producers have received very good news. Lithuania’s and Hong Kong’s institutions completed veterinary certificate procedures coordination for chilled and frozen poultry products direct import into Hong Kong. It was announced by Lithuanian State Food and Veterinary Service.

Hong Kong is a specific market because only specific chicken products are sold in it. Still, Lithuania’s poultry producers are capable to supply production to this market.

Before that, AB Vilnius and Kaisiadorys poultry farms and other Lithuania’s poultry producers had to export their products through European Union brokers. When the certificate is handed to Lithuania, poultry producers will be able to communicate with clients directly and expand their export capabilities.

According to Chairman of the Board of “KG Group” Mr. Tautvydas Barstys, this certificate will make negotiation processes between us and our clients easier and will help to expand our export not only into Hong Kong but later into China’s market too.
